Brian creates an impressive Hawaiian soundscape in this instrumental, showing that his production skills were still intact.
There is a misprint on the album cover. Al Vescovo, who played guitar, banjo, etc. on several BB albums over the years and played electric steel guitar on Diamond Head is the actual co-writer on the track. Bassist Lyle Ritz played ukelele on the track and Ackley was the recording engineer who bounced a spring reverb to create sound effects on the track.
