Wonderful
Written by: Brian Wilson/Van Dyke Parks
Produced by: The Beach Boys
Recording date:
Take Number:
Master Number: 58035
Time: 2:20
Lead Vocal by: Carl
Originally appeared on: Smiley Smile
Subsequently appeared on: none
Notes:The original "Smile" version features a lead vocal from Brian, beautiful harpsichord, and nice vocals from the Beach Boys. This version has a lullaby vocal from Carl, creepy organ, and what sounds like the Honeys.
Features a bizarr
e, "stoned" laughing interlude that is basically a re-arranged version of the "hey baba ruba" part that was faded onto the "Smile" version of "Vegatables" (as heard on the Good Vibrations box set. It has the same chord pattern as the "dit-dit-sit, heroes
and villains" that was to have been part of the original "Smile" and single releases of "Heroes and Villians" (Parts 1 and 2).
Wonderful from I Just Wasn't Made For These Times
Wonderful from Good Vibrations box set
